George Forests and Chris Eubank Jr. went up close and personal one final time Friday before their high-stakes confrontation.
Forests and Eubank gazed long and hard at each other amid the go head to head following their tip the scales at an inn at Manchester, Britain.
The English super middleweights must be isolated by promoter Kalle Sauerland before they headed in various ways.
London’s Forests tipped the scales at 167.1 pounds for their 12-round battle Saturday night at sold-out Manchester Field.
Brighton’s Eubank got on the English Boxing Leading group of Control’s scale at 167.5 pounds.
The 28-year-old Eubank (26-1, 20 KOs), who claims the IBO super middleweight title, is recorded by most Web sports books as about a 2-1 most loved over Forests.
The 29-year-old Forests (27-3, 20 KOs) will protect his WBA super middleweight title in the elimination rounds of the World Boxing Super Arrangement’s 168-pound competition.
Forests progressed to the elimination rounds by thumping out Britain’s Jamie Cox (24-1, 13 KOs) in the quarterfinals October 14 in London.
The Forests Eubank victor will propel the WBSS super middleweight last, booked for June 2 at O2 Field in London.
Whoever wins out of the Forests Eubank session will confront the victor in the semifinal round between Juergen Braehmer and Callum Smith.
Germany’s Braehmer (49-3, 25 KOs) and Britain’s Smith (23-0, 17 KOs) are set to battle February 24 in Nuremberg, Germany.
